What Would You Pay Me To Do?
Going on yesterday’s post I was thinking is there anything you would pay me $1,000 to do for you or your company? Since it’s Friday you can have a bit of fun with it (I would pay you $1,000 to go to hell) or be completely serious and maybe I will take you up on your offer. If there isn’t anything then I am an expert at nothing maybe and a professional at everything ;-).
There are quite a bit of services I would pay $1,000 for and interestingly enough they don’t have anything to do with the web…

I think you could earn (notice how I crafted that to remove the burden from me?) a grand or more by setting up domain registrars with a system to notify of upcoming renewals via a feed in addition to an email.

Make up (with my help of course) a goofy Blue Flavor dance, perform it and post it all over the place. Actually, we might have something for you. I’ll shoot you an e-mail sometime soon.

Shave off your fro, make it into a wig, and slip it onto Dick Cheney when he’s not looking.

I think there are definitely some things that companies would be interested in paying bloggers to do. Advertising and putting out good reviews about products or services are two obvious things that come to mind. As for the $1,000 price tag, I’m sure there are companies that would pay that and call it a bargain, especially if they deal with some popular blogs that generate lots of traffic.

Write fool-bullet-proof install howto’s for every platform for the following software:
subversion
trac
and ROR
Trac esp is a nightmare. Bar none the worst. Subversion was ok, but not fun either.

I honestly sat here for a few minutes and couldn’t think of a service I need. But, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t give you the money. I think, personally, I’d use the $1,000 to invest in you (like 9rules or ST or something) and take some joint ownership in something, perhaps. That’s really all I could come up with (as a serious answer).

I’d pay you a grand to run my escort service, if i owned one. :)
After that thousand you could either get a cut of the profits or have staff discount. ;)

I would have to dig under the couch cushions, but I would pay you $1000 for you to hire me (June 2007 until 9rules folds) or for 1,000 9rules pins so I can resell them at $4 each and undercut you while making a huge profit.

$1000 to send you to Africa or Middle East and to help publicise community events and aids in these countries. I would be very different from you are doing right now, and it’s a great way to see things from a different prespectives. :P

Get any Linux Distro Live CD to boot on either of my systems and then install ubuntu as a 2nd boot option on my main xp system without having to get rid of XP AND get Ubuntu to actually install and boot from the hard drive, make my video card work with full 3d acceleration and get XGL working. Set me up with KDE and GNOME and cross over office and whatever else I need to play windows games/run photoshop and illustrator and indesign, find linux emulators for my roms, install the linux versions of maya 5.5 and 7
